Job Title: Quality Technician - 2nd Shift - Up to $22/hr

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the quality of all products produced at our site. You will collaborate with management and production teams to address testing and quality needs, run samples from extruders and molders, analyze colors using a spectrophotometer, and identify non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the quality of all products produced at the site.Collaborate with management and production teams for testing and quality needs.Run samples from extruders and molders.Analyze colors using a spectrophotometer.Identify non-conforming products.Utilize Windows 7, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel for documentation.Learn and understand product lines.Use both English and metric systems for measurements.Apply basic algebra concepts, percentages, and calculations.Maintain lab cleanliness.Enter data from online and offline testing.

Essential Skills

Quality testing experience (2+ years).Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.High school diploma or GED required.Quality testing in a lab setting preferred.Manufacturing experience.Experience with color lab testing.Experience in a quality lab within a manufacturing setting.Experience with plastics or resins compounding.

Work Environment

You will be part of a compounding/plastics company with roughly 40-50 employees. The current shifts are from 6 AM to 2 PM, 2 PM to 10 PM, and 10 PM to 6 AM, transitioning to 8 AM to 4 PM, 4 PM to 12 AM, and 12 AM to 8 AM, subject to change based on future needs. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toed footwear, is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Unity, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
