**Job Title: Quality Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes by performing dimensional layouts. You will utilize approved test methods to carry out various dimensional measurements using both handheld and advanced measurement equipment. Your responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, managing the gauge recall database, and conducting both internal and external calibrations. You will also prepare and review test reports and calibration certificates, ensuring compliance with established policies and specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform dimensional layouts to support FAI and PPAP processes.
+ Use approved test methods to carry out dimensional measurements with handheld and advanced measurement equipment, including Creaform and FARO portable measurement arm.
+ Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for dimensional measurement needs.
+ Manage the gauge recall database and facilitate calibration activities.
+ Conduct internal gauge calibrations using established methods and reference standards.
+ Verify and calibrate laboratory equipment using certified methods.
+ Prepare, review, and approve test reports and calibration certificates.
+ Operate powered industrial trucks and overhead cranes for dimensional measurement testing.
+ Manage laboratory jobs and workflow in accordance with standards.
+ Ensure accuracy and completion of quality and testing records.
+ Collaborate in cross-functional problem-solving teams for corrective actions.
+ Provide cross-training in laboratory practices as needed.
+ Perform internal and product audits.
+ Adhere to safety regulations and policies.
**Essential Skills**
+ Quality control and inspection experience.
+ Calibration knowledge.
+ Experience with quality assurance and visual inspection.
+ Proficiency with Faro Arm, calipers, and micrometers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
+ Preferred experience in a quality laboratory setting.
+ Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
+ Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office.
+ Capability to stand for extended periods.

**Work Environment**
Work a shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime opportunities on Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

+ This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
