**Location:** Florham Park, NJ
**Shift:** 6:30am-3pm (Monday-Friday)
**Pay:** $25/hour ; Overtime: $37.50/hour
**Job Description**
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our cable and harness production environment. Your role will involve inspecting incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products while creating and maintaining comprehensive inspection reports. You will also handle customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and prepare monthly performance charts and analyses.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products.
+ Create and maintain inspection reports.
+ Handle customer complaints and perform root cause analysis.
+ Prepare monthly performance charts and analysis.
+ Monitor non-conforming materials and maintain related reports.
+ Design and build test fixtures for inspection and cable/harness testing.
+ Create test programs using CIRRIS, LANTEK III/IV, or other testers.
+ Generate vendor non-conformance material reports (NCMR).
+ Maintain calibration of tools and equipment.
+ Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
+ Apply product and UL labels; confirm production orders post-inspection.
+ Train assemblers to perform quality inspections.
+ Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and customer sample builds.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in inspection, visual inspection, in-process, and final inspection of cable/harness assemblies.
+ Experience in root cause analysis and 8D reporting.
+ Ability to create test programs using CIRRIS, LANTEK III/IV.
+ Skill in designing and building test fixtures.
+ Experience in calibration and maintenance of tools/equipment.
+ Recordkeeping proficiency in Quality Management System (QMS).
+ Understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards (preferred).
+ Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office 365.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics/drawings.
+ Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Experience in FAI and customer sample build support.
+ Skill in labeling and production order confirmation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associate degree or equivalent.
+ 2–3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in cable assembly or electro-mechanical environments.
+ Problem-solving skills for custom requirements.
+ Experience with Lean, process mapping, and continuous improvement.
+ Certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 (preferred).
+ English proficiency (written and spoken); Spanish preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
+ Reasoning ability to follow written, oral, and diagram instructions.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
