Quality Technician
Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will ensure that our quality management system conforms to the AS9100 standard, delivering its intended outputs. You will report on system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, maintaining the system's integrity during changes. Acting as the management representative for the QMS, you will liaise with external parties on all related matters. You will also be responsible for creating, reviewing, and revising Quality Assurance standard operating procedures, employing configuration management disciplines to meet engineering requirements.

ResponsibilitiesPerform closed-loop corrective action and root cause analysis.Assemble and review data packages for customer submission.Ensure compliance with certifications.Present product and data for final customer acceptance.Review quality requirements of contracts and purchase orders.Conduct initial quality and manufacturing planning reviews.Lead resolution of non-conforming material issues.Engage in technical writing, including quality procedures and test plans.Perform audits on products, processes, and systems and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.Represent quality assurance in new product start-up teams, identifying unique customer requirements for workmanship or traceability.Essential SkillsProficiency in inspection, troubleshooting, and quality control.Experience in quality inspection and composite manufacturing.Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or supplier quality.Experience with AS9100.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with specialty high-performance composite materials.ASQ certifications are a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our facility is located in a manufacturing setting in Benicia, operating Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $46.00/hr.
