Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspections, measuring components according to drawings, and conducting visual inspections without building or cutting parts. You will be tasked with reviewing and maintaining records to ensure compliance with IPC620 standards, providing internal auditing and inspection support, and collaboratively resolving related quality issues. Additionally, you will generate reports, follow up to close actions, and enter data into corrective and preventative action systems.

ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections.Measure components in accordance with drawings and standards.Conduct visual inspections and measurements.Review and maintain records for compliance with IPC620 standards.Provide internal auditing and inspection support.Collaboratively resolve quality issues.Generate and follow up on reports to ensure actions are closed.Enter data into corrective and preventative action systems.Assist in developing quality processes.Ensure tools and equipment meet calibration standards.Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures in quality assurance.Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.Administer training courses as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges.Experience with ERP systems, specifically Dynamics.Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with GD&T, IPC620 standards, and ERP systems preferred.Training provided for IPC620 standards.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, very clean facility with a small team comprising two other technicians and two quality engineers. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
