Quality Technician
**Job Title: Quality Technician** **Job Description** The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that products, materials, and components meet established quality standards and requirements. This position involves conducting thorough examinations and quality control inspections, troubleshooting, and evaluating components, assemblies, and systems. The technician is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and performing internal audits to verify compliance with aerospace standards. **Responsibilities** + Conduct examinations and quality control inspections on all types of standard and special products. + Provide detailed analysis, troubleshooting, and evaluation of components, assemblies, and systems. + Maintain documentation records and data on tests performed. + Perform internal audits based on established criteria and record the results. + Recommend quality control solutions to complex problems and implement corrective actions. + Conduct internal audits to verify that all procedures and work instructions align with aerospace standards. + Perform visual and mechanical inspections at sub-assembly and final assembly stages using engineering drawings and testing. + Inspect wires and sensors using tools such as ring gauges, calipers, torque ranges, micrometers, and others. + Inspect for defects like corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and verify specifications using purchase orders and blueprints. + Set up or build special test panels to facilitate testing and evaluation. + Other responsibilities as assigned. + Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, which may include nights and weekends as necessary. **Essential Skills** + 4 to 6 years of experience in quality inspections. + Proficiency in AS9100 and AS9102 First Article Inspection. + Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. + Proficient in SAP and Excel. + Aerospace background is highly preferred. + High school diploma required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + GD&T knowledge is a plus. + BA/BS degree required for leadership roles. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy abundant parking options, including gated rooftop parking with badge access. The position requires wearing steel-toe shoes and safety glasses. The assignment is temp-to-hire for approximately 90 working days or 4 months, with potential growth into a Quality Engineering Technician role. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift from 7 or 8 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 PM. Attendance is crucial and tenure is highly valued. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $26.44/hr.
