Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description

The Quality Technician is responsible for modeling high standards of conduct and leadership, reviewing operations' build processes, and providing constructive feedback as necessary. This role involves identifying individual technical performance and recommending improvements, effectively communicating product, quality, and safety information, and establishing effective working relationships across departments.

ResponsibilitiesModel high standards of conduct and leadership.Review operations' build processes and provide constructive feedback.Identify individual technical performance and recommend improvements.Communicate information regarding product, quality, and safety topics.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various departments including Team Supervisors, Assemblers, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, and Quality.Ensure products are made to standards and take appropriate action if needed.Ensure employees use correct tools, parts, and information for productivity.Control non-conforming materials.Assist with Parts Quality Report (PQR), gauge instructions, capability data, and gauge R&R studies.Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and practices.Work other shifts and provide field support as needed.Essential SkillsInspection and quality control expertise.Proficiency in quality inspection and assurance.Experience with micrometers.Knowledge of assembly, production, and manufacturing processes.Understanding of electrical wiring and retail assembly.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to work all shifts as needed.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to run reports, present information, and respond to questions.Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.Exposure to Quality Systems such as AS9100 and ISO9001 is preferred.Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and Travelers.Knowledge of standard wiring practices, IPC training, or electrical certification preferred.Willingness to wear mandatory personal protective equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is clean with small assembly stations spaced 3-5 feet apart from other employees. Flexibility to work in various areas is required, including warehouse environments where materials are moved and cut with hand and power tools. The facility is large, housing over 200 employees. Work shifts include Day Shift (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM), Weekend Night Shift (Friday-Sunday, 6 PM-6 AM), and Weekend Day Shift (Friday-Sunday, 6 AM-6 PM). Dress code includes shorts/jeans, t-shirts (excluding muscle t-shirts), and tennis shoes, with no open-toed shoes allowed.

This is a Permanent position based out of CANONSBURG, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
