The Opportunity:
We are looking for a proactive, technically skilled Quality Technician to support both our core assembly quality processes and the rollout of a new camera booth vision system within production. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on problem solving, working cross‑functionally, and improving systems and processes.
What you will do:
As a Quality Support Technician, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
Test and refine the system with real build conditions, ensuring high‑accuracy image capture and seamless integration with PDI workflows.
Oversee operation of the camera booth, diagnose software or process issues quickly, and escalate effectively to keep production running smoothly.
Provide clear, structured feedback, support feature testing, and ensure updates enhance workflow efficiency and quality outcomes.
Follow inspection standard work, capture detailed defects using digital/visual tools, and ensure findings are communicated clearly to drive timely containment.
Contribute to structured problem solving, root cause analysis and CI activities that help improve build quality and reduce repeat issues.
Support deployment, testing and early‑life usage at additional sites, providing guidance and helping standardise best practice.
NB. The panel cannot make assumptions when shortlisting therefore please demonstrate your qualifications and experience on your CV relevant to the criteria outlined.
What You Can Demonstrate:
Problem‑Solving: Essential for diagnosing issues with the camera booth software, resolving production quality concerns quickly, and supporting effective root‑cause analysis.
High Attention to Detail: Critical for accurate defect capture, validating imaging outputs, and ensuring machine audits identify the right issues first time.
Excellent Communication: Required to clearly explain defects, share system issues, work with software partners, and support investigations across engineering and production teams.
Proactive & Self‑Motivated Approach: Important for independently monitoring system performance, identifying improvements early, and supporting rollout to additional CAT facilities.
What You May Have:
Quality Knowledge: ability to apply quality principles such as defect identification, audit techniques, structured problem solving and continuous improvement, enabling fast, accurate contributions to build quality and investigations.
Vision System Capability: Confidence working with imaging or camera‑based inspection tools, understanding how software/hardware interact, and applying this skill to troubleshoot, optimise and improve the new camera booth system.
