**Job Title:** Quality Support Technician **(** Vision System)
**Salary:** £35,200 rising to £ £39,00 when role objectives are reached
**Contract** : Full time & permanent
**Location:** Desford, Leicestershire
**The Opportunity** **:**
We are looking for a proactive, technically skilled Quality Technician to support both our core assembly quality processes and the rollout of a new camera booth vision system within production. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on problem solving, working cross‑functionally, and improving systems and processes.
**What you will do:**
As a **Quality Support Technician** **,** you are accountable for, but not limited to:
+ Test and refine the system with real build conditions, ensuring high‑accuracy image capture and seamless integration with PDI workflows.
+ Overseeoperation of the camera booth, diagnose software or process issues quickly, and escalate effectively to keep production running smoothly.
+ Provide clear, structured feedback, support feature testing, and ensure updates enhance workflow efficiency and quality outcomes.
+ Follow inspection standard work, capture detailed defects using digital/visual tools, and ensure findings are communicated clearly to drivetimelycontainment.
+ Contribute to structured problem solving, root cause analysis and CI activities that help improve build quality and reduce repeat issues.
+ Support deployment,testingand early‑life usage atadditionalsites, providing guidance and helping standardise best practice.

**What You Can Demonstrate:**
+ Problem‑Solving:Essential for diagnosing issues with the camera booth software, resolving production quality concerns quickly, and supporting effective root‑cause analysis.
+ High Attention to Detail:Critical foraccuratedefect capture,validatingimaging outputs, and ensuring machine auditsidentifythe right issues first time.
+ Excellent Communication:Required to clearly explain defects, share system issues, work with software partners, and support investigations across engineering and production teams.
+ Proactive & Self‑Motivated Approach:Important for independentlymonitoringsystem performance,identifyingimprovements early, and supporting rollout toadditionalCAT facilities.
**What You May Have:**
+ QualityKnowledge: ability to apply quality principles such as defect identification, audit techniques, structured problem solving and continuous improvement,enabling fast,accuratecontributions to build quality and investigations.
+ Vision System Capability:Confidence working with imaging or camera‑based inspection tools, understanding how software/hardware interact, and applying this skill to troubleshoot, optimise and improve the new camera booth system.
