Responsibilities Define departmental objectives and activity plans in line with the Company and Quality Control Directorate’s goals and policies; submit plans for approval, implement approved plans, and ensure effective execution. Actively contribute to the establishment, improvement, and continuous development of the Quality Control System in accordance with quality policies and objectives; support the integration of local and international quality standards within the Company. Ensure that incoming materials, raw materials, and finished products comply with Turkish Food Codex requirements and Company quality standards; initiate corrective actions to eliminate factors negatively affecting product quality. Ensure syrup room laboratories operate fully, efficiently, and in compliance with required standards. Ensure syrup production is carried out in line with the production plan and provide operational guidance to the syrup room team. Verify that HFCS and crystal sugar comply with PepsiCo standards; report any nonconformities to the Quality Control Manager. Ensure produced sugar and syrup meet PepsiCo standards; escalate nonconformities to the Quality Control Manager. Ensure all syrup room analyses are accurately recorded in relevant forms; review records and report nonconpliances to the Quality Control Manager. Review quality records of responsible departments and ensure corrective actions are taken when required. Organize audits conducted by official authorities and private organizations related to areas of responsibility and accompany auditors during inspections. Maintain full control of all stages of the syrup room process to ensure compliance with company standards and legal regulations; ensure periodic execution of tests, analyses, and controls defined in quality plans. Ensure availability of required equipment and chemical materials for quality control activities and oversee equipment maintenance. Identify inspection, measurement, and test devices requiring calibration; prepare calibration/verification plans and ensure implementation according to the plan. Take an active role in first productions and new packaging/product trials; coordinate the submission of samples to R&D, Central Laboratory, and other laboratories designated by PepsiCo when required. Establish cleaning and sanitation plans; ensure sanitation of utilities, production lines, and equipment; ensure implementation of GMP requirements. Monitor consumer and customer complaints and provide appropriate responses in line with company policies. Ensure corrective actions are taken or initiated for nonconformities across all stages of the quality system and processes. Ensure optimal utilization of company resources; participate in loss analysis and focused improvement initiatives. Monitor regulatory updates and publications related to areas of responsibility; inform senior management and employees and ensure necessary implementations. Oversee pest control activities within the factory and ensure effective corrective actions when required. Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health & safety precautions and related rules. Ensure that all activities within the area of responsibility comply with Food Safety, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management System requirements. Organize task allocation for direct reports in line with work programs and monitor their performance. Coordinate activities and relationships with Head Office and other factories, production units, and facilities within the scope of responsibility. Ensure team members work in compliance with workplace principles, business ethics, and discipline rules. Conduct one-on-one meetings and departmental meetings with direct reports to gather feedback and implement appropriate improvement suggestions. Provide leadership, continuous motivation, and guidance to direct reports. Evaluate performance of direct reports; identify and deliver or coordinate training programs aimed at improving skills, productivity, and team spirit. Provide training to sales teams and distributors when required. Track and ensure renewal of permits and licenses required for factory operations related to the area of responsibility. Comply with Head Office instructions regarding emergency situations and crisis management. Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System and Environmental Legislation requirements related to waste management and natural resource usage. Report environmental issues or nonconformities to the Environmental Officer or Environmental Management Representative. Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors within the scope of role, authority, and responsibility. Ensure all factory activities are conducted in compliance with food safety and prerequisite programs, PepsiCo requirements, and national/international food regulations. Ensure implementation of hygiene management and HACCP principles. Report food safety–related issues to the Quality Control Manager. Comply with Food Safety Management System and Food Legislation requirements related to food safety. Propose initiatives to improve knowledge, skills, productivity, motivation, and teamwork for both direct reports and other employees; actively participate in social activities, training, and onboarding programs; personally deliver trainings when required. Act in compliance with workplace principles, business ethics, and discipline rules. Implement and ensure compliance with GEHSMS and ISO 14001 instructions, procedures, and practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering. 3–7 years of experience in Quality Control, Food Safety, or laboratory operations within FMCG or food & beverage manufacturing environments. Advanced level of English, both written and spoken. Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong leadership and people management skills with a results-driven mindset and the ability to make timely decisions.
