Managing plant Quality and Laboratory

Maintain and develop laboratory related procedures.Supervise all functions related to ISO 9000 certifications.Maintain all Recipe Management functions (BOM, RM, PV) within the SAP system.Enter and maintain all QM functions in the SAP system.Manage expense and capital budgets for laboratory.Supervise the daily activities of the laboratory technicians.Assist the production by developing rework plans for off-spec / out of date material. Take on additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Solving Product Manufacturing Problems on Existing Product Line

Troubleshoot quality problems on existing manufactured productsMonitor production process to select effective proceduresMonitor and/or re-evaluate quality control test proceduresMeet with Purchasing and/or vendors concerning raw material problems and specificationsReview and recommend disposition on nonconforming material produced.

Solving Customer Quality Concerns

Supervise customer complaints and coordinate with internal and external parties to address issues. Oversee the Root Cause Analysis program for the siteNotify Product Manager(s) concerning problems with batches which may have been shipped to customers that may result in further complaint.

Administration and Other

Oversee lab personnel and schedule and manage their laboratory activities Conduct laboratory safety auditsProject, monitor, and maintain budget expensesTrain personnel, personnel evaluations and supervise activities of the lab technicianManage & maintain all processes, procedures, and documentation to comply with ISO9001:2015 requirementsEnsure all documents are set up with the proper review period, proper person to review, and reviewed on time

Qualifications:

Minimum of a BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or other technical areaMinimum requirement of 5 years of laboratory and/or quality managementMicrosoft office skills, SAP and Lotus Notes preferredAbility to work with others and in all areas of the manufacturing plant

This position may require exposure to hazardous chemicals and/or waste. Appropriate training in compliance with federal law regarding hazardous waste exposure/handling will be completed.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $75,900.00 and $126,500.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
