Quality Supervisor 1st Shift Paying 80-85K
**Job Title: 1st Shift Quality Supervisor paying 80K-85K** **Job Description** The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quality control and quality assurance teams, ensuring that all products manufactured in the facility meet stringent quality and safety standards. The role involves close collaboration with production, maintenance, sanitation, R&D, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent product quality and continuous process improvement. **Responsibilities** + Supervise and provide guidance to quality technicians and other quality personnel, ensuring proper execution of their duties. + Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the development and training of quality staff. + Schedule and manage quality team workloads to ensure production lines are properly monitored. + Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards by overseeing inspections, product sampling, and testing. + Review quality reports, analyze data trends, and report on production quality issues to the FSQA Manager/Director. + Manage daily quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, ensuring accuracy and consistency. + Assist the FSQA Manager/Director in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations (FDA, USDA) and certification programs (BRC, SQF). + Lead internal audits and support third-party audits, ensuring the facility is audit-ready at all times. + Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMPs, and all relevant food safety programs across the production floor. + Oversee the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP), including sampling, analysis, trend reviews, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with food safety standards. + Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and collaborate with the FSQA Manager/Director and production teams to implement corrective actions. + Lead root cause analysis for quality deviations and work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of quality procedures. + Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of quality control activities, including non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and inspection logs. + Prepare and submit quality performance reports, highlighting trends, issues, and recommended solutions to the FSQA Manager/Director. + Review and update food safety and quality programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. + Train production and quality personnel on food safety and quality procedures, including HACCP, allergen controls, and sanitation standards. + Work closely with production supervisors to ensure quality expectations are understood and adhered to on the manufacturing floor. **Essential Skills** + Experience in quality assurance and quality control within the food industry. + Proficiency in GMP and quality inspection processes. + Experience in conducting audits. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a supervisor or manager within food manufacturing. + Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. **If you're interested, please contact Melissa at (847) 580-2812!
