Role Summary:
The Q&R Supervisor leads day-to-day inspection, testing, and reliability activities to ensure products and services are executed in full compliance with Quality System requirements, including NQA-1 and ISO 9001, while driving safe, disciplined, and reliable operations.
This is a Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm shift
Responsibilities:
Quality & Reliability OversightSupervise daily quality and reliability activities supporting manufacturing, repair, and service operationsEnsure inspections, tests, and verifications are performed in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and NQA-1 requirements where applicableSupport reliability assessments, failure investigations, and corrective action activities for nonconforming or failed productEnsure proper documentation, traceability, and record retention in accordance with quality system and regulatory requirementsPeople & Workflow LeadershipProvide direct supervision, coaching, and task prioritization for quality and reliability personnelBalance workload across incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, and service support activitiesTrain and mentor technicians on inspection methods, procedural compliance, and quality expectationsReinforce a strong quality and nuclear safety culture emphasizing procedural adherence, accountability, and conservative decision-makingCompliance & Quality SystemsEnsure compliance with applicable quality standards including ISO 9001 and ASME NQA-1 (as applicable to product or contract scope)Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation, execution, and timely closure of findingsAssist with control of nonconforming material, corrective actions, and preventive actions in accordance with approved proceduresSupport maintenance and continuous improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection plansCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Service teams to resolve quality and reliability issues efficientlyProvide quality and compliance input to process changes, risk evaluations, and corrective action activitiesAct as an escalation point for quality or reliability concerns that may impact safety, compliance, delivery, or customer satisfactionKey CompetenciesDisciplined, procedure-driven leadership approachStrong judgment and decision-making in regulated environmentsEffective communicator across technical and operational teamsDetail-oriented with a focus on compliance, safety, and reliabilityContinuous improvement mindset grounded in risk-based thinkingRequirements:
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field5+ years of experience in quality, inspection, reliability, or manufacturing support rolesPrevious experience providing technical leadership or supervision of inspectors or techniciansStrong working knowledge of drawings, specifications, inspection methods, and measurement toolsExperience with nonconformance control, root cause analysis, and corrective action processesCandidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen to comply with DOD NOFORN requirements.Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical disciplineExperience working in NQA-1 controlled environments, nuclear-related manufacturing, or other highly regulated industriesFamiliarity with audit readiness, procedure control, records management, and traceability requirementsExperience supporting both commercial and nuclear scopes within a single quality management systemBenefits Starting from Day 1:
