Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Description

As a Quality Manager, you will develop, implement, and enforce food safety standards and regulations, policies, and quality assurance programs including HACCP. Your role will involve overseeing regulatory audits, food safety training programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), product inspections, and standardized work instructions.

Responsibilities

Develop, interpret, and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and standards, including SOPs, KPIs, and GMPs.Evaluate the adequacy of current Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.Ensure compliance with all statutory and system requirements.Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues; develop, trend, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventative actions.Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system and prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers and evaluate audit findings to develop and implement appropriate corrective actions.Ensure quality processes from supplier materials for production.Look for ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency in the organization.Manage document management systems.Implement best practices in quality management.Ensure product quality, customer service, and excellence to achieve desired business plans and culture.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of food safety/quality experience in food or food packaging manufacturing.Experience with HACCP and SQF audits.Creative problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Food safety/Audit certifications.GFSI certification.

Work Environment

The position is based in a food packaging industrial environment equipped with press machines, winders, and rewinders. The quality department maintains a cleanroom standard. The job operates on the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The workplace is climate-controlled and offers benefits such as Health, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401K. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
