As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing food safety standards and quality assurance programs. Your role will include overseeing HACCP, regulatory audits, and food safety training programs, as well as managing standard operating procedures (SOPs), product inspections, and standardized work instructions. This position operates on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, interpret, and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and standards, including SOPs, KPIs, and GMPs.Evaluate the adequacy of existing Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.Ensure compliance with all statutory and system requirements.Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and develop, trend, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventative actions.Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system and prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers and evaluate audit findings to develop and implement appropriate corrective actions.Ensure quality of processes from supplier materials for production.Look for ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency within the organization.Manage document management systems.Implement best practices in quality management and respective areas of work.Implement product quality, customer, and service excellence to achieve desired business plans and culture.Essential Skills3-5 years of food safety/quality experience in food or food packaging manufacturing.Experience with HACCP and SQF Audits.Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Additional Skills & QualificationsFood safety/Audit certifications.GFSI certification.Why Work Here?Join a company that values its employees by offering comprehensive health, life, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401K plan.
