Quality Manager
Job Title: 1st Shift Quality Manager- Pay up to $115k

Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic quality and training programs and processes, including the planning, management, and coordination of quality control activities to ensure the delivery of the highest quality products. The role requires close alignment with operations, customers, and others to support the overall goals, objectives, mission, and vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

Establish, promote, and maintain a 'quality culture' through world-class quality management that focuses on continuous improvement of all activities and processes.Effectively manage the Quality Management System to comply with ISO 9001 Quality Standards.Develop, maintain, and foster quality assurance plans through risk analysis, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, and establishing critical limits.Coordinate calibration and recording of test devices.Maintain and update all controlled QMS documentation, including the Quality Manual, Procedures, Work Instructions, and Records.Initiate and lead improvements to solve quality-related issues, ensuring corrective actions are comprehensive, effective, and efficient.Validate and sustain quality through resource alignment, inspection control plans, and standardized measuring methods.Improve product quality by conducting audits, investigating customer complaints, and collaborating with managers to develop manufacturing and training methods.Work with purchasing to establish quality requirements with suppliers.Manage the RMA process and material.Prepare quality KPIs, documentation, and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Stay informed of trends and developments in quality management through educational opportunities and professional networks.Monitor, advise, and report on quality management performance and related data.Develop and provide quality training across the organization.Facilitate continuous improvement programs supporting quality best practices and efficient manufacturing processes.Address employee relations issues and engage with Operations Director on significant matters.Participate in the formation of actionable solutions through suggestions and feedback.Develop strong working relationships across all departments and levels of the organization.Ensure safety and health guidelines are followed and help advance safety procedures and incentives.Collaborate with management and HR to conduct training needs assessments and evaluate training programs for compliance with quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

4-year degree required; emphasis in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Business, or Quality strongly preferred.Experience in the plastics or automotive industry strongly preferred.7-10 years of experience in a related industry or discipline with a focus on operational excellence.Experience managing a Quality Management System and ISO 9001 Quality Standards is required.LEAN experience is beneficial.Hands-on knowledge of an enterprise resource system is imperative.
