We’re looking for a motivated Quality Lab Technician who’s excited to play a hands-on role in ensuring the excellence of our products. If you enjoy a mix of laboratory work, problem‑solving, and real‑world product evaluation, this position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise truly matters.
In this role, you’ll spend about 80% of your time in the lab performing analytical testing and 20% supporting quality operations, including sample collection, audits, and raw material inspections. You’ll work with a variety of instruments and testing methods to help maintain the high standards our customers rely on.
What You’ll DoQuality Testing & AnalysisPerform routine and advanced quality control tests using instruments such as FTIR, densitometer, pH meter, x‑ray spectrophotometer, and color/clarity equipment.Conduct flash point testing to assess product flammability.Test in‑process and finished batches to verify they meet specifications, including batch quantity checks and tank reading conversions.Material & Product EvaluationSample and inspect incoming materials—bulk shipments, bottles, labels, drums, finished goods, and other components—following detailed inspection plans.Prepare lab batches and set up product stability studies, documenting performance and recording results.Assist in developing product specifications through sampling and testing aligned with SOPs.Operational SupportManage retain samples, ensuring proper storage and documentation.Complete and organize all required QA documentation, including batch sheets and receiving reports.Support the receiving and unloading of raw materials from bulk tankers.Create “Master” weight standards for production components such as bottles, caps, liquids, and labels.Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment under the guidance of the Quality & Compliance Manager.Coordinate third‑party microbial testing and contribute to ongoing compliance initiatives.What You BringStrong foundation in wet chemistry, pH measurement, and general laboratory techniques.Experience with titrations and hands‑on chemistry work.Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.At least 1 year of laboratory experience.Familiarity with at least two of the following: FTIR, densitometer, pH testing, x‑ray spectrophotometer, color/clarity testing.About Actalent
