Quality Inspector Technician - DIRECT HIRE
**HIRING FOR A QUALITY INSPECTOR IN FRIDLEY! DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!** **Job Description** As a Quality Technician, you will perform visual and dimensional inspections of sheet metal components using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. You will ensure compliance with engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications, document inspection results, flag defects, and assist in root cause analysis. Your role will involve verifying material certification, surface finish, and overall part integrity while collaborating with fabrication teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions. You will also maintain inspection records in accordance with ISO 9001 or other applicable quality standards, support audits, and participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. **Responsibilities** + Perform visual and dimensional inspections of sheet metal components using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. + Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications. + Document inspection results, flag defects, and assist in root cause analysis. + Verify material certification, surface finish, and overall part integrity. + Collaborate with fabrication teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions. + Maintain inspection records in accordance with ISO 9001 or other applicable quality standards. + Support audits and participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in inspection and quality control using micrometers and calipers. + Ability to perform visual inspections and quality assurance. + Experience with assembly and final inspection. + Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. + Capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy materials up to 50 lbs and equipment. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment with noise and movement. + Must be willing to help in other areas as needed; such as assembly, operating, etc. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy competitive compensation and performance-based incentives while benefiting from comprehensive health and wellness packages. Despite being a metal shop, it is not very noisy, with a smaller team of about 15 people on the shop floor, as part of a larger organization. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Fridley, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
