Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Quality Inspector Metals to join their team. As a Quality Inspector Metals, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Quality Inspector Metals
**Location:** Carson, CA
**Pay Range:** $20.54 per hour + $1.00 Shift differential.
**Shift:** 2nd - 2pm-10:30pm
**What's the Job?**
+ Reads and interprets blueprints and/or shop drawings and uses precision measuring tools (such as: calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify parts and/or material meet specification.
+ Identifying defects/deviations from specifications and initiate non-conformance reports, and follow issue through to completion; provides communicating regarding repair/re-work to production supervisor
+ Perform visual, manual, and mechanical inspection of products and/or materials
+ Inspects incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
+ Complete and maintain QA/QC documentation and records while adhering to quality control procedures.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School diploma or equivalent required.
+ Proficient use of measuring tools and have a working knowledge of precision measuring tools such as: (tape measurer, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
+ Familiarity with various forms of sheet metal, welding, cutting, milling, or related processes.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while balancing multiple projects.
+ PC skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
