Moog Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a precision-driven environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing.

The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Inspection Manager and is responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies at various stages of manufacture, including final inspection prior to customer dispatch. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve non-conformances and may include support for problem-solving activities, engineering investigations, and corrective action initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: 

Inspect parts and assemblies, including subcontracted components, using appropriate inspection equipmentConduct final inspections of valve assemblies, including visual checks and documentation reviewIssue Authorized Release Certificates following successful inspectionReview supplier FAIRs and support completion of FAIRs for finished assembliesRaise non-conformance reports and coordinate disposition with relevant stakeholdersAct as a delegated Quality representative in customer interactionsCollaborate with the team to meet departmental objectives

Qualifications and Experience: 

NVQ Level 3, BTEC National Certificate, or equivalent academic background, plus 5 years in precision manufacturingAlternatively, 3 years of Quality Control experience may substitute for manufacturing experienceProficiency in inspection techniques and use of measuring instrumentsUnderstanding of finishing processes, assembly and test methods, and workmanship standardsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and apply quality standards such as AS9100 and AS9102Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solvingFamiliarity with EASA/CAA regulations is advantageous
