**Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description**
This is a first shift Quality Technician position working from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves understanding customer quality-related requirements to support high standards of precision and quality in the inspection of medical parts. The position is fully based on the production floor, ensuring that parts are checked twice before leaving the building, including dimensional checks and final inspections.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and some CMM (training available), optical comparators, and Keyence.
+ Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
+ Perform visual inspections and quality checks with precision instruments.
+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation with excellent writing skills.
+ Utilize specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustments.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in using quality instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.
+ Strong understanding of decimal point placement.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to work with microscopes, magnifiers, and optical comparators.
+ Physical ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
+ Capability to lift 20 lbs. or greater as needed.
+ Prior experience in quality control inspection is preferred.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes designated inspection areas, eliminating the need to search through parts. Employees are expected to work the entirety of the shift, inspecting jobs that may range from 500 to 2000 pieces. Safety glasses are required and provided, and employees can wear their own if preferred. The dress code includes leather uppers and non-slip soles, with safety shoes not being required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kentwood, MI.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
