Quality Inspector
Job Title: Quality InspectorJob Description

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that components and assemblies meet the company's high-quality standards. This role involves inspecting production materials, as well as engineering or unreleased products, and auditing material at supplier sites. The inspector is also responsible for auditing supplier quality control programs.

ResponsibilitiesPerform setup, sampling, testing, and inspection/audits of complex materials, products, and processes.Read, interpret, and measure products according to engineering drawings.Collaborate with suppliers and other groups to inspect and determine the disposition of materials.Maintain records and create reports indicating inspection results.Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by ensuring proper segregation, identification, and disposition of discrepant materials.Facilitate, create, and update inspection documentation to ensure compliance.Utilize Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE), including common gauges and equipment, to complete measurements accurately.Essential SkillsKnowledge of inspection concepts, techniques, and processes.Basic computer skills for data entry and operating testing equipment.Familiarity with GD&T and related measurement techniques.Ability to complete and audit assembly-related documentation such as inspection forms and nonconformance documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school education or equivalent combination of training and experience.Intermediate reading and math skills, including report writing and algebraic and geometrical calculations.ASQ Certified Quality Inspector preferred.Ability to attain EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification, if applicable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work on the 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 4 pm to 2:30 am, with potential for Friday work as needed. The work environment is clean, well-lit, and encourages coworker interactions. It features ambient room temperature and excellent lighting, typical of a manufacturing setting with traditional assembly line equipment. The area is free from oils and other disagreeable elements. Certain areas require personal protective equipment, including respirators, gloves, and mandatory hearing protection. Safety glasses and closed-toed, closed-heel shoes are required in all manufacturing areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
