As a Quality Inspector, you will oversee the inspection of incoming components, conduct in-line and in-process checks, issue labels, and manage special projects. You will also be involved in AQL inspections in case of customer complaints and manage rework processes. The role involves handling over 1200 samples for each production lot and performing quality checks throughout the manufacturing and packaging processes.
ResponsibilitiesPerform quality checks of medical products throughout the manufacturing and packaging process.Inspect products for defects on bottles, totes, caps, and other packaging.Pull labels on batch records for production personnel to use on external packaging.Document all quality checks, inspections, and batch record information.Ensure production personnel follow GMP's, SOP's, FDA regulations, and quality processes.Essential SkillsQuality control experience.High School Diploma.Computer literacy in document writing such as NCRs, NCMRs, and Batch Records.Understanding federal regulations is a plus.Experience with GMP, although this can be trained.Legible writing and ability to work cross-functionally with production.Strong verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsQuality Auditing.Line Auditing.Batch Record Review.Labeling.Experience with NCRs and Deviations.GMP and FDA knowledge.Work EnvironmentThis position is for the 1st shift, from 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 5am to 1:30pm on Fridays, with some flexibility. Extended hours may be required occasionally, but there is flexibility for early start or late finish. You will work with drugs, cosmetics, and medical device manufacturers, primarily producing lubricating jellies, shampoos, and saline syringes. 50% of the role involves floor inspections and auditing, while the other 50% involves office work, preparing documentation and project-based tasks. Holidays are paid, with 2 weeks of prorated vacation, and the company encourages career growth from within.
