Quality Inspector
**A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)** Provide QA and NDE support daily, depending on product flow, shipments, and department needs. Discuss with the Supervisor and Support staff, the priorities and urgency of product Inspections and Quality documentations. **How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)** + The main objective of the QA Technician roleis to provide in-process and final inspection of CTQ dimensionalmeasurements, and parameters utilizing standard and special gauging,Certified Level II NDE (VT, MT, & PT) requirements to specificationand drawing. Validate documentation compliance and approving in OIL. Thiscan include scanning and uploading validated documentation into SAP or theQN. Confirming operations as complete in both Oil and SAP. You will beresponsible to create, verify work/rework, and close qualitynotifications. + You must have VT and PT classroom training with certificate in order toapply for the Quality Technician Role. Note: Any Charlotte internalcandidate holdingLevel II VT, MT and PTcertification will be considered first for this specific role. To maintainthe quality inspection role, you must become level II certified in VT, PT andMT. Job will be filled based on Qualification and not seniority. Interviewwill be required. + Must be proficient with gauging (i.e. ID/OD mic’s, depth mic,caliper’s, no-go/go gauges, tri-mic’s, thickness gauges, weld gauges, etc.). Bewilling to learn specialty gauging such as faro-arm, laser tracker, white/bluelight scanning, etc. + This specific Quality Technician role will support Gas Turbine-Combustion **What You Bring (requirements)** + Must become Level IICertified in VT, MT, PT in order to maintain your role as a Quality Technicianat the Charlotte Campus. Note: Any Charlotte internal candidate holdingLevel II VT, MT and PT certification will beconsidered first for this specific role This includes gaining and loggingrequired hours, passing the specific, general and practical exams in thespecific NDE method to stay current. + Be able to use standardgauging and specialty gauging such as Micrometers (ID/OD, calipers, tri-mic’s,finish gauges, weld gauges, thickness gauge etc.) + Be able to read andunderstand drawings, blue-prints, process specification, standard operatingprocedures, manufacturing instructions etc. + Be familiar with SAP andhave experience utilizing OIL. + Be able to conductin-process and final inspection audits and be able to present results tomanagement. + Cross training in MHG,new app and service will be required. + Incumbent will need tobe flexible and support where needed to ensure manufacturing productivity andefficiencies. + Work and collaboratewith COC supervisors, engineers (ME, MAS & Quality), managers and technicalmanagers as required on product specific to that COC. + Be able to documentdimensional results, NDE finding precisely and accurately. + Be able to validatepaperwork submitted by manufacturing carefully, accurately and communicate anyout of specification condition followed by a quality hold or QN as warranted. + Be willing to workovertime both daily and weekends as required. **About the Team** In our **Business UnitGeneration,** we offer a broad portfolio of cutting-edge technologies, services, and solutions for centralized and decentralized energy production.
