**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Quality Inspectors for a large manufacturer and distributor of solar trackers and structures for solar panels. The role involves working with machine operators to form metal by cutting and pressing it to specification or blueprint to build structures for solar panels. You will be operating machinery such as band saws, press stamping machines, or punch presses. This position requires constant movement of parts through a repetitious process to advance the product line.
Responsibilities
+ Perform quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.
+ Conduct visual inspections and document findings.
+ Adhere to ISO 9001 standards.
+ Prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) when necessary.
+ Collaborate with machine operators to ensure metal forming meets specifications.
+ Operate and maintain machinery, including band saws, press stamp machines, and punch presses.
+ Work in non-climate-controlled environments and adapt to varying temperatures.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of recent manufacturing QC experience.
+ 2+ years of experience with micrometers and calipers.
+ Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
+ Proficiency in visual inspection and quality control processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in structural steel manufacturing.
+ Previous work in a solar manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with NCR reports.

Work Environment
The work environment includes two locations in Houston, TX. The headquarters in SW Houston offers a large, non-climate-controlled facility with an open-air assembly area that can be very hot. The second location at NW Houston is a new, air-conditioned facility. Work alongside assemblers, plasma cutters, press brake operators, and general fabrication teams. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with most Saturdays and alternating Sundays requiring 6-hour shifts. Expect to work an average of 45 to 52 hours per week. Shift timings include: 1st Shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2nd Shift from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and 3rd Shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, each with a 30-minute break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
