Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Quality Inspector** Job Description As a Quality Inspector, your primary responsibilities will include the verification of in-process and completed products to ensure they meet all applicable dimensions, parts, and procedures. You will conduct process and product audits, enter inspection data into the quality management system, and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for noncompliant products. Additionally, you will create Quality Control Plans (QCPs) for new builds and production runs. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards. Responsibilities + Verify in-process and completed products to ensure they are constructed according to all applicable dimensions, parts, and procedures. + Conduct process and product audits as required. + Enter QC inspection data into the quality management system. + Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for noncompliant products. + Create Quality Control Plans (QCPs) in advance of first-time builds and production runs. Essential Skills + Proficient use of hand and measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers. + Ability to read and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs), Process Specifications, Engineering Drawings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in PCB (component identification), cable, and box assemblies is a plus. + J-STD certification and knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards are advantageous. + Clear vision at 20/20 or better at 20 feet or more and ability to distinguish colors. Work Environment This position requires a detail-oriented and precise approach to work, with a strong emphasis on quality control and adherence to standards. The role involves frequent use of measuring tools and analysis of production components, ensuring all quality specifications are met. The job involves standing, walking, lifting, and using hands for typing for 1/3 to 2/3 of the time, with the ability to work using a microscope and lift items weighing up to 20 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranston, Rhode Island. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
