**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to join our production line team. You will work closely with production leads to conduct comprehensive inspections across various stages, including incoming, in-process, first piece, and final inspections. Your role will involve measuring packaging materials, recording any discrepancies or machine disruptions, and maintaining communication logs with the first shift team to ensure a seamless pass-over. Utilizing gauges and micrometers, you will ensure compliance by measuring particulates as small as 0.8 sq mm. Physical stamina is required, as you will need to comfortably carry up to 40 lbs and stand throughout your shift.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct product inspections for incoming, in-process, first piece, and final inspections.
+ Measure packaging materials and record any issues or machine disruptions.
+ Maintain communication logs with the first shift team to ensure seamless pass-over.
+ Use gauges and micrometers to ensure compliance, measuring particulates as small as 0.8 sq mm.
+ Carry up to 40 lbs and stand during the shift on the production line.
Essential Skills
+ 2 years of QC inspection experience in a production environment.
+ 2 years of documentation experience.
+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
+ 1 year of experience using micrometers or calipers.
+ Proficiency in reading a ruler and tape measure to 1/16th and 1/32 of an inch graduation.
+ Must be able to read and write English; bilingual skills are a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2 years of experience in flexible packaging or medical device industry.
+ Experience using gauges or calibration equipment.
+ Bilingual abilities.
+ Experience with Tyvek material inspection.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean environment and occasionally wear gowns in sterile packaging areas. This role involves collaboration with the Quality Manager and Production/Press Supervisor. The equipment is older, and you will work alongside a maintenance technician to troubleshoot any machine issues without manuals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niles, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
