Quality Inspector
Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure our products meet high standards of quality and precision. The successful candidate will have experience with calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and rulers, and will be proficient in converting measurements to metric units. Experience in IPC-610 is essential, along with a strong understanding of quality, depth, dimension, and tolerance testing.

Responsibilities

Conduct professional inspections according to identified specifications and standards.Assess work order completeness and thoroughness.Evaluate first articles, in-process assembled products, and final manufactured products.Inspect returned products and specify disposition.Examine received components and outsourced finished products.Perform process assessments and identify improvements.Maintain records, reports, and audits related to quality and inspection to standards.Generate first article inspection reports and non-conforming material reports.Log entries and updates on audits of each non-conforming material report to ensure corrective action.Prepare RMA reports and conduct AS/ISO audits.Document historical data accurately.Communicate quality issues timely to relevant stakeholders.Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency in all manufacturing processes.Assist with production activities as necessitated by work volume.

Essential Skills

Prior manufacturing experience, preferably in inspection.Proficient manual dexterity.Ability to accurately use inspection equipment including tape measures to 64ths in inch and metric to 1MM units, calipers in inch and metric.Strong ability to read/comprehend, write, and communicate orally in English.Competence in basic arithmetic including fractions and decimals.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to track multiple projects simultaneously.Strong attention to detail.Ability to reason through problems and suggest solutions.Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings, Parts Lists, BOMs, Data Lists, mechanical test reports, chemical analysis reports, thermal and environmental conditioning reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

IPC-620 experience is a plus.Experience with Optical Comparators and microscopes.Certification in IPC 610 and IPC 620.Experience in AS9100 and ISO environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
