Quality Inspector
Job Title: Quality InspectorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to perform essential inspections on products across various stages, including receiving, manufacturing, and integration and testing. The role involves detailed inspections of both electrical and mechanical components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and documentation requirements.

ResponsibilitiesPerform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on products.Conduct detailed inspections on electrical and mechanical components at both the piece part and assembly levels.Uphold quality standards and workmanship practices by learning and practicing process specifications.Assist in developing training material for the Quality Assurance group.Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies discovered during inspection processes.Perform audits of work areas to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS 9100 procedures and Lean Manufacturing Principles.Conduct in-depth reviews of product build documentation for configuration audit to ensure as-built meets as-designed requirements.Act as a safety representative during critical and hazardous operations.Perform inspections on box-level assemblies and support environmental testing activities.Ensure acceptable quality standards and workmanship practices are utilized in assigned work centers.
Essential SkillsKnowledge of IPC 610, IPC 620, and J Standard.Proficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.U.S. citizenship.Minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing or inspection fields of electronic components and/or assemblies.

Work Environment

Work in an ESD production environment with availability to work 1st or 2nd shifts as scheduled. Overtime may be required to meet operational needs. Primarily based in Chantilly, with occasional flexibility to work in Fairfax.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
