Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Quality Inspector- 1st Shift** **Job Description** Identify, quarantine, and stop the processing of nonconforming product. This is to be done in accordance with the standards established by the Quality Control Department with the guidance and instructions from responsible supervisor personnel. Individual must be able to check parts, requiring 100% inspection, for visual defects and build requirements or with the use of inspection checking aids such as with gages or other necessary equipment which will determine the acceptance of a part. Must be able to read digital indicators and fill out necessary paperwork. **Responsibilities** · Follow all safety requirements · Perform checks on production parts. Inspections include but not limited to SPC data collection, fixture checks and visual inspections. · Complete and document all quality checks on appropriate inspection sheets · File all completed quality records in designated storage areas · Perform incoming and outgoing dock inspections · Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with Customer Specific requirements · Follow and support company policies, procedures and work instructions · Conduct and participate in quality audits · Actively participate in the continuous improvement process and incorporate the zero defect standard in all work · Support and adhere to the requirements of the Quality and Environmental Systems as needed · Work within a team environment · Work overtime as required ·Perform other duties as assigned **Essential Skills** + 1 year of manufacturing/assembly experience. + 1 year of quality inspection experience. + Ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts. + High attention to detail and pride in work quality. + Ability to lift, bend, and stretch throughout the entire shift. + Steel toe shoes/boots. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Hand and power tool experience is preferred. + Background in inspection/material handling is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Joining our team offers direct employment after 90 days, with a pay increase after January 15th and yearly pay reviews. Opportunities for cross-training and department transfers are available for career growth. **Work Environment** This position is located in a recently remodeled 150,000 sq foot launch sequencing facility dedicated to Chrysler business. The cleanroom environment emphasizes safety and cleanliness. The facility houses 244 Fanuc Robots, sub-assembly cells, flex cells, stand-alone cells, weld robots, and dispensing robots. This is a non-union plant with a Just-In-Time (JIT) system for the plastics side, while the metals side operates differently. Note that cell phones are not permitted on the floor. The work hours are 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime and 12-hour shifts being common. Some Saturdays may be required, though efforts are made to limit them. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
