Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting in-process and final visual inspections of raw and metalized products. You will measure products using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, and decide on accepting or rejecting finished products based on strict quality standards. Your role is pivotal in achieving daily and weekly production goals.

ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final visual inspections of raw and metalized products.Measure products using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.Accept or reject finished products based on quality standards.Discuss inspection results with responsible parties.Interpret test data according to test parameters.Conduct First Article Inspections.Report inspection and test data accurately.Provide training and support to the QA team.Assist the QA-QC team in data collection for experiments.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical inspection of machined parts.Proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and GD&T symbols.Experience with QC bench tools such as calipers and micrometers.Strong verbal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Additional Skills & QualificationsLeadership qualities and good communication skills.Experience with quality control, blueprint inspection, and manufacturing environments.Familiarity with measuring tools and quality assurance practices.Quick learner who is adaptable to new tasks and processes.Ability to multitask and provide accurate results on time.Positive and enthusiastic work approach.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is set within a manufacturing and machine shop environment, where the quality team operates in a dedicated area on the production floor. The team consists of 5 members, working with microscopes and various tools on a bench seating area. The company specializes in parts that contribute to medical capital equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
