Quality Inspector
**Quality Inspector** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated Quality Inspectors to join our team, with opportunities available on different shifts. You will perform routine visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of printed circuit boards, systems, and sub-assemblies to ensure compliance with required standards. This role involves working closely with various manufacturing technologies and requires flexibility for occasional additional work days. **Responsibilities** + Work from detailed Process Sheets, Visual Aid Packages, Engineering Change Orders, Production Change Notices, and Critical Item Lists. + Inspect components for proper positioning, soldering, markings, and various quality requirements. + Obtain and verify appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment. + Verify placement, polarity, and labels on circuit boards. + Use Defect Code List to identify defects and route boards to rework/repair facilities. + Perform minimal rework/repair duties as necessary. + Perform hand solder operations on printed circuit board assemblies. + Complete necessary routing tasks per procedure. + Enter board and/or systems quantities into the Baan ERP system. + Input data into PFS. + Perform duties under close supervision. + Check configuration on all assemblies. + Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations, management, and support engineering. + Follow and maintain accurate process documentation and recommend improvements. + Comply with and follow all company policies and procedures. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of Quality Inspection experience, preferably in electronics. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. + Knowledge of quality assurance, quality inspection, and quality control. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1+ years of experience in basic electronics manufacturing. + 2+ years of advanced electronics inspection experience. + Ability to perform one or more of PIR, WPI, FPI, AOI. + Experience working on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors. + Judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. + Capability to build productive internal and external working relationships. + Utilize optical equipment to determine the acceptability of components and solder. + Operate Nicolet X-ray machine and other sophisticated inspection equipment. **Why Work Here?** Join a large company with opportunities to advance within the role, from Level II to Level III Inspector, and even into Quality lead/management positions. The company works on military and government projects, some of which require top secret clearance and ITAR compliance. All contractors must be able to obtain these clearances. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANTA ANA, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
