**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
**Job Description**
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspection activities to assess the conformance of products to the design specifications as defined by engineering drawings and models. This role involves utilizing tools such as torque wrenches and screwdrivers during inspections and ensuring that sub-assemblies and final assembled Hover Craft, Tether Reels, and Tether Kits meet requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform inspection activities to assess product conformance to design specifications.
+ Inspect sub-assemblies and final assembled products to ensure they meet requirements.
+ Create organizational value by implementing innovative solutions and best practices within the product realization value stream.
+ Assist Quality Engineers in identifying non-conforming product conditions at the system or subsystem level.
+ Prepare inspection plans and checklists with Quality Engineers.
+ Assist in data collection and root cause analysis investigations.
+ Generate discrepancy notices and initiate Material Review Board actions.
+ Perform material movement transactions post-inspection, specializing in receiving, in-process, process verification/auditing, and final inspections.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ In-depth knowledge of relevant manufacturing standards and mechanical techniques.
+ Ability to use various measurement devices to verify mechanical part compliance.
+ Experience reading mechanical drawings and verifying parts dimensions against drawing requirements.
+ 2+ years of experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical comparator, or other complex inspection systems.
+ Ability to effectively interpret data and respond to questions from engineers and technical staff.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with inspection, blueprint reading, and coordinate measuring machine software.

**Work Environment**
The work environment combines hands-on tasks with desk work. Inspectors will perform physical inspections and release operations in the MES, moving paperwork to the next queue. The shift is Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates should be open to assisting with any aspect of the Quality Inspection process to ensure units are shipped weekly.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.
