Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure that all parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials conform to specifications. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards by conducting inspections and documenting any discrepancies.
ResponsibilitiesReceive and inspect Outside Vendor (OSV) parts for compliance with required processes and certifications. Document and report all discrepancies.Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.Perform in-process inspections and document any discrepancies.Prepare Inspection Discrepancy Reports (IDR) and input data into the QA database. Document acceptance or rejections accordingly.Perform source inspections as requested by customers and complete associated documentation.Compare completed products with parts lists, drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure they meet customer expectations.Verify specified dimensions of products or materials and prepare Detailed Inspection Plans (DIP).Perform first article inspections and complete all associated documentation.Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.Prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference in subsequent inspections.Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or GED; or completed apprenticeship from an accredited trade school.2-5 years of experience for Level 2 Quality Inspector, 5 or more years for Level 3 Quality Inspector.Aerospace experience is required.Minimum five years of experience with dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5) of aerospace products preferred.Ability to read blueprints and interpret work instructions.Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.Additional Skills & QualificationsNADCAP experience is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 12 PM to 8:30 PM. There is a possibility of overtime, though not guaranteed. The role requires working with precision measuring instruments in an aerospace manufacturing setting.

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $83200.00/yr.
