**Job Description**
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing audits and inspections to ensure products meet established quality standards. This role collaborates closely with Production, Testing, Project Management, Engineering, and Shipping teams to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct QA audits and inspections.
+ Verify and document wiring, torque tolerances, labeling, and more per assembly/wiring checklists.
+ Communicate with supervisors about defects.
+ Assist in training production employees.
+ Properly use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and multimeters.
+ Confirm adherence to current safety policies.
+ Ensure products ready for shipping meet quality standards.
+ Regular in-person attendance is essential.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in switchgear, mechanical or electrical system testing, and related work.
+ Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics.
+ Ability to perform basic computer skills.
+ Proficiency in using shop equipment and hand tools.
+ Ability to perform basic math functions including fractions and decimals.
+ Capability to take direction, follow instructions, and work positively with others.
+ Fluency in English for effective communication.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with blueprint and schematic reading.
+ Familiarity with quality control processes.
+ Knowledge in electrical control panels, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting.
+ High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required.

**Work Environment**
The facility is a medium-sized operation with 60 employees, focusing on manufacturing from start to finish in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. The environment is clean, modernly designed, and maintains comfortable temperatures for optimal working conditions.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
