Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections on products within Receiving, Manufacturing, or Integration and Test. This role involves performing product build documentation reviews and end-item data package evaluations. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring quality standards and workmanship practices are upheld by learning and practicing process specifications.

ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed inspections on both Electrical and Mechanical components at piece part, assembly, and sub-assembly levels.Assist in developing training material for the QA group.Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies discovered during inspections.Conduct audits of work areas to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS 9100 procedures and Lean Manufacturing Principles.Review product build documentation for configuration audit to ensure as-built meets as-designed requirements.Act as a safety representative during critical and hazardous operations.Perform inspections on box level assemblies and support environmental testing activities.Confirm acceptable quality standards and workmanship practices in assigned work centers.Essential SkillsExperience with IPC 610, IPC 620, J Standard.Proficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or inspection fields of electronic components and/or assemblies.High school diploma or equivalent.Must be a eligible for security clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles.Experience in developing training materials is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role operates within an ESD production environment. Candidates must have availability to work 1st or 2nd shifts as scheduled, with potential overtime required to meet needs. The position is primarily based in Chantilly, with occasional work in Fairfax.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
