Job Description
The Quality Inspector will perform electrical and mechanical inspection of incoming or outgoing materials to ensure they meet applicable specifications as outlined by designated procedures and product specifications. This role requires minimal supervision and involves interfacing with production and engineering personnel regarding inspection results. The inspector will collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct audits in manufacturing areas and facilities per established SOPs, maintain statistical quality control charts, and provide support for quality projects.
ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical and mechanical inspections to determine material conformance.Interface with production and engineering personnel concerning inspection results.Collaborate with manufacturing to develop SOPs.Conduct audits in manufacturing areas and facilities.Maintain statistical quality control charts.Provide support on various quality projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to interpret engineering drawings of complex mechanical or electrical components.Skilled in using mechanical or electrical inspection tools, instruments, and devices.Ability to read testing instruments and record inspection results.Strong problem-solving skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with Agile systems.Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and prioritize work according to lead/supervisor direction.Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role requires working in a clean room environment with full clean room attire. This is a 90-business day contract to hire position, offering a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.45/hr.
