Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to perform diversified inspection work on aerospace and commercial parts. This position operates Monday through Friday, with a standard schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Additionally, there may be extra hours required on Saturdays or 1-2 hours during the week.
ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections of raw materials, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical products to ensure conformity to established requirements.Utilize engineering drawings, process specifications, raw material specifications, test procedures, and customer documents to verify purchased parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and final deliverable units.Exercise judgment based on acquired knowledge, performance specifications, and engineering drawings.Perform inspections from first article to final inspection in a job shop environment.Essential SkillsSeven years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience in fast-paced and small part inspection.Proficiency in reading and understanding complex engineering drawings and GD&T readings from blueprints.Ability to read and understand work instructions via shop travelers.Attention to detail and precision work focus.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mass production or machine shop settings.Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.Knowledge of true positioning, thread, and geometric tolerance.Familiarity with CMM is a plus but not required.Proficiency in optical & video comparator, surface plate and height gages, micrometers and calipers, plug and ring thread gages, pin gages.Cert review for processing: heat treat, anodizing, plating, passivate, etc.Basic knowledge of AMS & MIL standards.Basic calibration methods.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a machine shop setting alongside a team of five inspectors. The environment is loud and industrial, with moderate odors due to the manufacturing of plastic and metal parts. Steel-toed shoes are required. Work hours are Monday through Friday, with variable start times ranging from 5:30 am to 7:00 am, depending on work orders.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $63000.00/yr.
Direct placement position
