**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
**Job Description**
We are currently seeking an Inspector who will perform inspection functions for assembled parts. This role requires the ability to read and interpret customer instructions, blueprints, drawings, and other statistical information. The Inspector will prepare parts and documentation for external criteria and participate in problem-solving teams. This position supports the commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability, and respect for people.
**Responsibilities**
+ Promote a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
+ Assist in establishing and documenting inspection criteria; prepare parts and documentation to meet external criteria.
+ Inspect pre-assembled and partially or fully assembled aircraft parts and structures.
+ Complete all required inspection documentation, including First Article Inspections.
+ Interpret customer purchase orders, blueprints, mylars, engineering drawings, and other job specification documents.
+ Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System.
+ Write customer submittal tags.
+ Utilize appropriate tools such as gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring equipment to check part integrity.
+ Read and interpret SPC charts and other statistical information.
+ Assist production in meeting customer requirements.
+ Participate in work center and other problem-solving teams as requested.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and quality inspection documents.
+ Advanced blueprint reading skills with knowledge of dimensioning and tolerance.
+ Experience with measurement instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
+ Understanding of metal fabrication fundamentals.
+ Ability to interpret basic SPC charts and information.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2-year Associates Degree or Technical Training in Aerospace Industry, or comparable related experience.
+ 2 years of experience in the manufacture of sheet metal parts and/or assemblies for the aerospace industry.
+ Ability to handle multiple assignments within the same time period.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Light lifting is required, and the role can be performed seated or standing. The shift is from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
