Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products meet dimensional and quality standards both inside and outside of CNC machines. This role involves performing first article inspections, utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and conducting various visual and dimensional tests.
ResponsibilitiesValidate products meet dimensional requirements using internal/external documents.Perform first article inspections to certify a process will yield a conforming product.Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to validate GD&T requirements.Prioritize workflow through the Inspection department based on the daily shipping list.Conduct visual tests and measurements using appropriate equipment and methods.Measure various dimensions using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.Create nonconformance tags and document nonconforming product within the internal MRB software.Maintain area cleanliness and organization within 6S initiatives.Observe all safety and company policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAbility to read and write English.Punctuality.Ability to learn and make decisions about priorities and troubleshooting.Proficient in shop math, including fractions, decimals, and basic trigonometry.Perform visual inspections.Use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.Navigate a computer to locate and process documents.Read and interpret work instructions and blueprints.Analyze information and interpret drawings (ASME Y14.5).Apply metrology techniques and participate in or promote process improvements.Ability to locate reference points on products and measure dimensions using a combination of aids and precision tools.Apply AS9100 standards to the inspection process.Self-motivated and maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals.Be a team player and contribute to incident data and problem-solving methods in the MRB process.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.3 years of relevant inspection experience are required.Experience performing First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspection is required.Ability to read blueprints and correctly understand how to measure dimensions and calculate tolerances based on GD&T.Experience in manufacturing is required. Automotive, aerospace, or similar industries is preferred.Experience in a CNC machine shop environment is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role begins with a 3-month training period on the first shift (8am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday) before transitioning to the third shift (8:15pm - 4:45am, Sunday to Thursday). The work environment is a manufacturing and production floor setting, with exposure to moderate noise, occasional mist, airborne particles, and other typical elements. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, ear plugs, and safety glasses, is required and provided. Physical demands include frequent use of hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, regular sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and twisting. Occasionally, lifting and moving up to 35 pounds is required, along with visual acuity for near vision, color distinction, and focus adjustment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
