As a Quality Inspector, you will verify product conformance to design requirements, ensuring objective evidence of results is provided. You will perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring activities, as well as identify and document discrepancies. You will also segregate and control nonconforming items, conduct preliminary review and disposition of non-conformances, and facilitate product reviews with customers during verification processes. Your role will involve conducting dimensional and visual inspections, reviewing and approving First Articles from suppliers, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and corrective actions.
ResponsibilitiesConduct dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels.Perform visual inspections for obvious defects.Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards.Communicate with vendors as needed.Disposition and control of non-conforming product.Assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits.Identify and communicate opportunities to increase inspector productivity.Assist with RCCA activities pertaining to Inspection.
Essential SkillsProficient in QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection.2-4 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and training.Experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope.Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel).Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).Required to pass documented color and near vision exam.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious Aerospace experience is a plus.Knowledge of AS9100 requirements is highly preferred.Understanding of Six Sigma / team concepts.Preferred advanced GD&T skills – Optical Comparator, Layout, Vision Scope Systems.

Work Environment
Work in an indoor, air-conditioned, and very clean environment. The position is a day shift with hours from either 6 AM to 2:30 PM or 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with availability to work as late as 4 PM. Steel-toed shoes and pants are required attire.
