Job Title: Quality Engineering Technician
Job Description

Join our team as a Quality Engineering Technician and ensure that the quality management system aligns with AS9100 standards. You will oversee processes to confirm they produce the intended outputs and report on performance and opportunities for improvement. Maintain the integrity of the system during planned changes, act as the management representative, and liaise with external parties regarding the QMS.

ResponsibilitiesCreate, review, and revise Quality Assurance standard operating procedures (SOPs).Utilize configuration management disciplines, tools, and practices to ensure products and services meet engineering requirements.Perform closed-loop corrective action and root cause analysis.Assemble and review data packages for customer submittal.Ensure compliance with certifications.Present product and data for final customer acceptance.Review quality requirements of contracts and purchase orders.Conduct initial quality and manufacturing planning reviews.Lead the resolution of non-conforming material issues.Develop technical writing skills, including quality procedures and test plans.Perform product, process, and system audits and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.Represent quality assurance on new product start-up teams and identify unique customer requirements for workmanship or traceability.Essential SkillsInspection, troubleshooting, quality control, and quality inspection expertise.Composite manufacturing experience.Familiarity with basic aerospace specifications and standards, including AS9100.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Minimum of 3-5 years of quality assurance experience.Proficiency in quality engineering, root cause analysis, and supplier quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsASQ certifications are a plus.Experience with specialty high-performance composite materials.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing facility located in Benicia with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $46.00/hr.
