Quality Engineer III

Responsibilities

Serve as assistant to the QA Manager, leading meetings and supporting departmental planning.Drive QMS harmonization and best practice standardization across sites.Act as site lead for customer audits and regulatory inspections, including compliance with AS9100 and other standards.Define and track strategic quality goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives.Facilitate multi-disciplinary problem-solving for systemic issues such as scrap, warranty returns, and field failures.Develop and implement supplier quality programs, including audits and performance improvement plans.Mentor junior engineers and lead technical development sessions.Support design for manufacturability (DFM), PFMEA, and process validation during product development.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.7+ years of progressive quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards.Proven success in leading audits, managing customer/supplier relationships, and driving measurable improvements.ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) or ability to obtain within one year.Ability to travel up to 25%.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mundelein, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
