Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans for CNC-machined thermal products, including on-site foundry, machining, and electrical assembly. The role involves reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure accurate quality planning.
Responsibilities
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and customer quality issues.Support first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.Collaborate closely with CNC machinists, programmers, and supervisors to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.Analyze quality data and trends (scrap, rework, nonconformances) and recommend process improvements.Manage nonconforming material reports (NCMRs) and coordinate disposition activities for both internal rejects and external customer returns (RMA).Assist with customer, internal, and third-party audits, such as ISO 9001.Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection and measurement equipment.Support supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluations and corrective actions.Implement and maintain statistical methodologies for process improvement (SPC, etc.).Train production and inspection personnel on quality standards and best practices.Collaborate daily with other internal departments, including sales, customer service, engineering, purchasing, and production.Lead and direct the shop-floor quality team, including training, setting priorities, and addressing technical challenges.Perform other tasks and special projects as needed.Essential Skills
Mechanical or Electrical Degree is a must.Proficiency with CNC lathes, vertical mills with GD&T background.Experience in ISO 9001 audits.Proficiency with statistical methodologies for process improvement using MiniTab and JMP.Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineering degree preferred (ME or EE) or equivalent technical experience.5 plus years of Quality Engineering experience.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.Working knowledge of quality tools such as PPAP, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, and 8D.Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other applicable quality management systems.ASQ quality-related certifications preferred (CQE, CQA, or equivalent).Lean / Six Sigma certifications preferred (Green Belt, Black Belt).Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
