Work you'll do/Responsibilities Build and maintain an automated testing framework for retail POS flows, with strong emphasis on checkout reliability and speed. Automate UI testing using Selenium and Playwright for cashier, self-checkout, and supporting POS workflows. Automate service/API testing using Karate, including validation of REST and SOAP integrations (e.g., promotions, loyalty, payments, inventory). Create robust end-to-end test suites that validate critical scenarios such as pricing accuracy, discount stacking, coupons, tax, tender types, refunds, voids, and offline/latency behaviors. Develop regression, smoke, and release-readiness packs to support frequent deployments and phased store rollouts. Perform root-cause analysis by correlating UI failures, API responses, logs, and data conditions; document findings clearly for engineering teams. Own defect lifecycle: triage, severity/priority alignment, reproduction steps, evidence capture, retest/verification, and release sign-off support.
