Job Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

Ensure the finished product quality according to the customers specifications, through the monitoring and control of the different productive process stages.

Responsibilities:

Be the main customer focal point for quality related issues/improvements.

Work in a day-to-day basis together with Production to define, support and follow-up the indirect hand labour work in quality tasks, regardless its functional dependence.

Analyse quality data (ex. scrap, product and process capacities, etc.) and create the necessary synergies to work in the results continuous improvement.

Work on improvement plan to reduce internal scraps.

Communicate in the daily meeting the problems that came up from the productive processes and propose action plans to fix them.

Verify the effectiveness of the actions defined to solve the quality problems.

Supervise the work of the Inspectors in charge of finished goods final audit and the tracking and management of their results.

Analyse the necessities of the measurement according to the productive process needs.

Keep and manage the metrology and calibration systems.

Look for the effective use of the quality system program modules.

Take part in the preparation of the clients’ visits.

Coordinate the Plant Quality System, not only maintaining the quality system in its competence areas, but also training and auditing the staff responsible for its maintenance in each of the business areas.

Develop internal audits and LPA of the plant processes according to the schedule.

Suggest improvement activities as part of the annual Plant Quality Plan based on historical process issues, trends in quality data analysis, potential problems or future needs.

Implement the annual improvement plan activities under his responsibility.

Take part in the project teams, giving its opinion about the quality of the process to the Launch Leader, through the established channels.

Perform analysis on new product in launch and support the development and launch team to achieve target set.

Give support to other Quality Department service’s needs, in order to work in a coordinated way.

Follow the OHS policies.

Upholds the principles of the Magna Employee’s Charter, Magna’s Operational Principles, Magna’s Environmental Health and Safety Policy & Procedures, MML Quality Policy, Program Execution Process and Business Protocols.  Must understand and respect the laws and cultures in countries which Magna conducts business & Magna compliances.

Requirements:

University Degree in Engineering or related studies.

English and Italian: advanced

Knowledge of control plan, main quality tools (i.e. 8D) and control system.

Ability to read technical drawings.

2+ years of experience in a similar role.
