Schedule: 45 hours per week, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $86,000 to $107,000 annual salary, plus annual bonus

Overview

The Quality Engineer plays a key role in supporting a high precision manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement and superior craftsmanship. This position is responsible for leading daily quality initiatives, supporting cross functional teams, and driving long term improvement across products, processes, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer works closely with operations, engineering, and customers to ensure compliance with quality standards, enhance inspection processes, and proactively resolve quality issues.

ResponsibilitiesLead daily quality activities and execute improvement projects that enhance manufacturing performance.Serve as a primary liaison between operations, engineering, and customer quality teams.Analyze nonconformances and perform root cause investigations.Implement corrective and preventive actions that address systemic issues.Enhance inspection procedures, methods, and documentation.Lead AS9102 First Article Inspection submissions.Perform internal quality audits and support ISO 9001 and AS 9100 compliance.Support new product introductions and production launches.Mentor inspection personnel in best practices, tools, and techniques.Set up and monitor statistical process controls.Promote and participate in 6S initiatives to drive safety and efficiency.Required Skills and ExperienceFirst Article Inspection experience, root cause analysis proficiency, and exposure to quality management systems.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T.Experience working with ISO 9001 or AS 9100 systems.Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with common machine shop gauging, inspection tools, and measurement techniques.Strong communication skills and leadership potential.Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results on time.Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or 5+ years of quality engineering experience.ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.Aerospace industry experience.Strong understanding of AS9102 First Article processes.Ability to independently perform internal audits.Must pass annual vision screening conducted by a licensed optometrist.Work Environment

This role operates in a hands on production environment that includes exposure to high noise levels, moving machinery, metal parts, cutting fluids, dust, mist, and other typical manufacturing conditions. Safety protocols and PPE are required.
