Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description Join a rapidly growing aerospace and defense supplier with a rich heritage in spaceflight as a Quality Engineer. This role involves investigating and resolving production problems, representing quality for programs and customers, and reviewing component testing and traceability documentation. You will work in a collaborative team environment to define and control circuit card assembly processes for radiation-hardened environments. Responsibilities + Investigate, assess, and resolve production problems in a team environment. + Represent quality for programs and customers. + Review drawings for flowdown and best practices. + Plan and review component testing and traceability documentation. + Define and control circuit card assembly processes for radiation-hardened environments. + Review and approve component First Article Inspections (FAI). + Coordinate completion of customer FAIs. + Support in-process product reviews. + Prepare and review acceptance data packages. + Support audits, both customer and internal. Essential Skills + Proficiency in quality engineering and risk analysis. + Experience with PFMEA and quality management systems. + Familiarity with ISO 9001, TS16949, and AS9100 standards. + Ability to interpret military, commercial aircraft, and space-level specifications and standards. + Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with various stakeholders. + Strong computer literacy with MS Office and related systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. + 4+ years’ experience in a quality-related function preferred, or related internship experience. + Experience in data analysis and procedure writing. + Work experience with radiation-hardened components. + Knowledge of special processes like critical finishes, chemical conversion, soldering, crimping, and both non-destructive and destructive analysis methods. + Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance. + Must be a US Citizen. Work Environment Work in a state-of-the-art engineering center in Parsippany, offering flexible work schedule options. Choose between a compressed work week with four 10-hour days Monday through Thursday and every Friday off, or four 9-hour days with a half-day on Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $90.00/hr.
