Quality Engineer – Drive Excellence in Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Medford, NY
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (12 Months | Interim – May Be Extended)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours per Week (Flexible hours, OT as needed, no weekends)
Pay Rate: $37.99 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Quality Engineer who will play a key role in ensuring product integrity, process excellence, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
In this role, you’ll collaborate across Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to manage non-conformances, analyze quality data, and drive proactive solutions that prevent defects before they occur. Your work will directly impact product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll DoManage and resolve non-conformance issues across manufacturing operations
Evaluate, analyze, and visualize quality performance data, including First Pass Yield (FPY)
Advise production teams on quality best practices during line setup and optimization
Coordinate and facilitate resolution of production-related quality issues
Serve as a key interface between Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams
Support and strategically develop inspection procedures within the value stream
Contribute to development projects focused on error prevention and risk reduction
Coordinate and support continuous improvement initiatives
Implement and maintain Collins-specific quality processes
Assist the Quality Manager with regular evaluation and maintenance of the quality management system
Required QualificationsDiploma or University Degree in Applied Sciences or a technical field
Master Technician, Graduate Engineer, or equivalent technical background
Experience and formal training in Quality disciplines
Professional experience in manufacturing environments, preferably aerospace
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience working in regulated or aerospace manufacturing environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present quality data
Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence process improvements

Pay Details: $37.99 per hour
