Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary** The Quality Engineer supports supplier quality performance for Plant 4 by driving issue resolution, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures process controls, audits, and preventive actions that protect production and strengthen supplier capabilities. The PQE collaborates with cross-functional teams and international suppliers to maintain reliable material flow and mitigate operational risks. A strong sense of urgency, effective prioritization, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential, as the role directly impacts plant stability and supply network performance. **What the Candidate Will Do** • Resolve supplier quality issues and lead corrective action activities. • Conduct supplier audits, evaluations, inspections, and process reviews. • Implement QMS controls, certification programs, and compliance activities. • Lead containment, root cause analysis, and improvement projects with suppliers. • Analyze quality data and prepare reports with recommendations. • Maintain documentation and traceability for all quality-related activities. • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy. • Communicate effectively in English with international suppliers. • Work with urgency and perform well under pressure. **Education Requirements** • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. • English: Intermediate–Advanced (mandatory). **Key Skills of the Ideal Candidate** **Quality Management System (QMS)** • Applies QMS concepts, audits, and compliance controls to ensure supplier performance. • Utilizes inspection methods and process validations to maintain quality levels. **Problem Solving** • Uses structured analysis tools to assess root causes and resolution alternatives. • Applies risk-based decision making to protect production continuity. **Accuracy & Attention to Detail** • Maintains precise documentation, reports, and quality records. • Ensures error-free evaluations by following established procedures. **Decision Making & Critical Thinking** • Makes timely, data-driven decisions based on supplier performance information. • Evaluates corrective actions and improvement options with sound judgment. **Collaborating** • Works effectively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams. • Communicates shared objectives and participates actively in team problem solving. **Additional integrated competencies** : • Strong sense of urgency. • Ability to work under pressure. • Prioritization and multitasking. • Working knowledge interacting with suppliers outside Mexico. • Understanding of PPAP / APQP processes. **Preferred Qualifications** • Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, ASQ CQE, or similar certifications. • Working knowledge in audits, APQP, PPAP, or manufacturing/supplier quality roles. • Working knowledge supporting international suppliers. **Additional Information** • The location for this position is available in Cienega de Flores. • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm. • This position will require 40% travel, domestic and international.
